3OH!3

The first band in the soundtrack of Alice in Wonderland I’m going to talk about is 3OH!3.

3OH!3 is a group of two boys, acting together since 2004. Their sound is a mix of electronic, electro hop and dance. The members, Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte, met each other while were attending the University of Colorado.

Their first and independent album didn’t make success at all. But their second album, Want, released in June of 2008, made a huge success with the amazing single Don’t Trust Me.

In 2009, the opened Katy Perry’s concerts in Europe, and recorded with her another big single, Starstrukk.

With Ke$ha, the new female name in the music world, they already recorded the song Blah Blah Blah.

For the soundtrack of Alice in Wonderland, their song name’s Follow Me Down, featuring the English singer, Neon Hitch.

We, as big fans of the story and the director and the bands decided to make a special week, the Alice's Week. This week we will post about all the artists that have their music in the soundtrack, some of then very famous other ones not that much, but all of them very talented! A way to stay more curious about the film that debut in Brasil in april 21th.

We hope that you like to read this next posts as much as we will love to write.

Cinema Bizarre

Another band that had a strange, quiet and suprised end.

Cinema Bizarre were form 2005 by five boys from Germany that played glam rock in english, they had fans around the world inclued in Brazil, but were never known by the midia.

It's difficult when some band isn't a accept in the midia because of their music and most important because of their look , kind androgen.

But this wasn't the fact that make the band ends, cause acctually they were all welcome in Europe, even with the critics.

The problems began in 2007, when Luminor, who played keybord, left the band saying that he was with health problems, and Romeo a friend of the band enter to replace him, in 2008 Luminor officially left the band. Some people says that had a conflict among the members, but he states that his health problems were worst then he thought.

In 2010 the band posted a letter in their twitter and facebook saying that the band would stop for a while, but it acctualy seems that this was the end of the band forever.

With the end of Cinema Bizarre Romeo and Yu enterd in another band and Strify and Shin wants to stay in the music world too. We don't have notices about Kiro and not even Luminor.

Even with the end of the band, if you want to check out their video clips here it is some musics: Love Songs (They Kill Me) and Forever or Never.

Cute Is What We Aim For

Cute Is What We Aim For is an American band formed by high school friends from Buffalo, New York.

After a small tour, they signed with Fueled by Ramen, an indie record company, even without a manager and a bassist.

On 2006, recorded the first album, The Same Old Blood Rush with a New Touch.

After this album, they found a bassist, but he left the band months after. Then, comes another one, who left the band to, in March of 2008.

Anyway, they finished another album in the same month, Rotation, released on June.

They were part of the Simple Plan opening show with Metro Station and other bands to.

In September of the same year, the drummer left the band.

In 2009, they made part of the soundtrack of the movie Jennifer’s Body.

In the same year, the singer announced his solo career and two other members left the band.

But the band is not over. In 2010, they were making tours with other bands.

Apollo 3

This is a really new band, in all aspects!

It all starts in Cologne, a really important city in Germany, where three boys met each other and decided to form a band, but the fact is that they weren't teenengers by the age of fifteen , 'cause acctualy, now the older have only thirteen years old, so cute!

Then, let me introduce you these boys: Marvin (25/08/1996), Henry (25/06/1997) and Dario (05/01/1997) this is Apollo 3!

They turned to be famous in Germany when their music "Superhelden" was part of the soundtrack of the film "Vorstadtkrokodile". Besides "Superhelden" they had already another single "Startschuss", and two albuns.

In 2010 they debut their first film "Teufelskicker" where they plays the main characters.

Because of the age that they start making music, music style and country, sometimes they are compared with Devilish (now, Tokio Hotel) that had similar begin and now it's a famous rock band, with fans all over the world, the dream of every band, and a good example for Apollo 3 boys to see that doesn't matter where you came from, you can always get your dream if you want and belive it.

Metro Station

I’m really not a big fan of this band, but I honestly believe that when a good story has an end, someone needs to share it. For maybe the last time.

I’m almost sure you know Miley Cyrus, the girl from Hannah Montana, and the TV serie cast. Well, the fact is that Mitchel Musso (an actor in the serie) has a brother, called Mason. Mason was in the Disney studios one day, with her brother. That’s when Trace Cyrus, Miley’s real brother, enter in the story.

Trace and Mason met in one day and in the same day decided to form a band. A powerpop, electronic and rock band, Metro Station. A good band, that with the other two components, Blake and Anthony, became popular very fast, signing with Red Ink.

With only one album recorded in 2007 and unforgettable singles like Shake It, Seventeen Forever and Kelsey, this band is a part of the story of many people: the fans.

Last year, they lost two components, Blake and Anthony. Just Trace and Mason continued with the project. But the things were not easy for these young boys.

Last week, I think, they posted in them website: Metro Station is over now.

Trace Cyrus, please, don’t stop making music. In my opinion you sound better than your sister.

The Horrors

As you - maybe - noticed I really like to talk about europen bands. So, here is one more: The Horrors an English band formed in 2005.

Their music is a mix of indie rock and garage rock.

Maybe in the first look you will be shocked with their style cause, Faris Badwan, Joshua Hayward, Tom Cowan, Rhys Webb and Joseph Spurgeon are anything but ordinary or commom and depending of your point of view not even good looking. But this acctualy isn't important cause their music, with great lyrics maybe will make you change your mind.

They recorded two EP's the first in 2006 and the last in 2008. Their first CD recorded in 2007, was call Strange House with five singles, and last year -2009- their launched the second album Primary Colours that already have three singles.
The musics "She Is The New Thing" and "Who Can Say" have videoclips and both are really cool.

Their myspace is

myspace.com/thehorrors

Enter and enjoy.
